We have been in business since 1999 and are so much more than a just a nanny recruitment agency; we really care about what we do and make sure we take the time, right from the initial conversation, to listen to what you are looking for and advise you accordingly on the right type of help for you. Choosing the right nanny to look after your children is one of the most important decisions you will ever make, as everyone’s needs are different. To find you the right type of person to help you, we first need to fully understand you and your children's needs. We are different from all the other local agencies, as we are able to offer you a nanny plus many other types of home based childcare so are not blinkered in steering you in one particular direction, if that is not the right thing for you.
We do not want to intrude on you and your family, as I am sure you are very busy, so we are happy to take down your job particulars over the telephone, but please be assured that we are more than happy to discuss your requirements in person, by either you coming to our office to meet us or we would be delighted to visit you in your home. Either by phone or in person, we take down the details of your position, ask you to add in any additional information that will help us in our matching procedure and then return the form to us. We believe a nanny or other type of child carer take on a family, not just the children.
Unlike other agencies, we never send out speculative CVs to our clients and we do not ask nannies to agree to have their details sent out to families, without their knowledge and approval when they register with us. We take the data protection laws, regarding confidentiality of information, very seriously and any applicants we send to you will have been fully briefed about the detail of your position and will have asked us to put them forward.
At North West Childcare, we pride ourselves on going the extra mile for our clients and we wish to be of service to you for as long as you need us. We believe in building a long term relationship with you and we do not disappear once the placement has been made. We are there for you for the whole time you employ your nanny, plus are there when you may need to re think your childcare.
We are happy to provide advice on interviewing, how the whole recruitment process works, working conditions, salary packages, contracts of employment, statutory obligations, maternity and sickness pay etc.
At North West Childcare, peace of mind for you, as parents, when leaving your children, is always our premium concern and we guarantee the highest standards in our vetting procedure by careful, thorough interviewing, rigorous reference checking and confirmation of valid qualifications. We recommend all of our candidates are checked by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) www.crb.org.uk. We have the facility to undertake these checks.
We personally interview each candidate and we personally follow up on 3 references, usually verbally and check all the applicant’s original documentation. We ask for reasons behind gaps in employment history, and we will not register every applicant that comes for interview.
As working mothers ourselves we apply the ultimate test: would we feel comfortable leaving our own children with an applicant? Only if the answer is a confident “yes” would we send that applicant to you.
We do encourage our nannies to become registered under the Government childcare initiative - this may result in financial gain for you as an employer. We are able to offer guidance and support. For more information visit Ofsted or read about the Financial Benefit guide.
