How NWC is here to help you during the current recession
We all well aware that we are currently in the grip of a global recession, as many people are losing their jobs, mother’s may need to go back to work, as families need a second income, so we want to let you know that North West Childcare is here to help you.
We understand that people are looking closely at their finances, especially when choosing which nanny agency to use, so we have made sure that we keep our fees low, so that even including VAT, as we are VAT registered; we are much cheaper than all the other local nanny agencies.
We counsel our nannies to be reasonable in their salary expectations, so that the cost of a nanny is affordable for most families.
The Government initiative very rarely mentions conventional home based childcare, like a nanny. They are advocating that we send our children to nursery or use a childminder. The common perception is that a nanny is only for those families who are “well off”.
That is so untrue, and we believe that parents have the right to decide what type of childcare they want, as it is their children’s welfare we are talking about.
Julia Harris, Managing Director of North West Childcare, is leading the way to educate families that, especially if they have more than one child, a nanny is often a cheaper option than a nursery, as you pay a fixed salary per week, that is not dependant on how many children you have.
You will be actually be financially better off, if you hire a nanny, if you have a a pre school child and one child at school, as you do not have to think about having separate cover for before and after school care or holiday or sickness cover, as it will automatically be part of the nanny’s role. It also means that your child can be taken and collected from school and can leave and arrive home at a normal time without being left in a breakfast or after school club. The nanny would also be able to take the children to any after school activities.
Your nanny can be a big help in your home as they will also do many of the children’s chores, for example their washing and ironing, tidying their toys, cooking for them, to name but a few. This means you may be able to cut down on the amount of cleaning help you need and more importantly it means that when you get home from work, you are able to spend quality time with your children, without having to run around doing jobs.
When they start a job, we tell our nannies that they take on the whole family, not just the children.
When things are tough in the work place, you need to make sure you are able to get to work, on time, and concentrate on your job. Flexible childcare, care of a nanny, will enable you to do this as the nanny will arrive before you go to work, stay until you return, be flexible is you need to work late and look after your children for you if they are sick.
We recommend nanny shares as one of the best ways to save on childcare costs, especially if you only work part time. This is where more than one family shares the cost of the nanny. If this is of interest to you, please see the section on our website on nanny sharing or call us for more information.
You may be eligible for tax credits under the Ofsted Childcare Register (OCR) scheme, we have details on this scheme and how your nanny can become registered, on our website.
